Common questions
- What is document intelligence for operations?
- It is the automated classification, metadata extraction and semantic retrieval of the technical documents an operation actually runs on — SOPs, drawings, circulars, batch records, safety notices — so that a question returns a cited answer rather than a folder to search through.
- Does TA Docs answer with citations, or just summarise?
- Answers are grounded in the source documents and cite back to the specific clause they came from. That matters in regulated environments: an answer a shift lead cannot trace to an approved document is not usable evidence, however well written it is.
- Can TA Docs run air-gapped?
- Yes. It deploys on-premise or fully air-gapped, which is the usual requirement when the corpus includes safety circulars, controlled procedures or commercially sensitive drawings.
- Does it replace our existing document management system?
- It can, but it more often sits over one. A DMS is built for storage, versioning and approval; TA Docs adds classification, extraction and retrieval on top. If your problem is that documents are governed but unfindable, the retrieval layer is the gap.
- What kinds of documents does it handle?
- Operational corpora rather than office files — scanned and native PDFs, procedures, engineering drawings, circulars and batch records, including the mixed-quality scans that real archives are full of.
- How does classification work — do we have to tag everything first?
- No. Documents are classified and their metadata extracted automatically on ingest, which is the point: the corpora this is built for are usually decades old and were never consistently tagged in the first place.
